Ghanaian musician, Tic Tac has said after 20 years in music he is still relevant and could be counted among the top 10 musicians in Ghana.

The musician recounted back to 2006 when he was releasing hit songs back to back.

Tic Tac is on record to have taken over the airwave and music shows including MTV Base Africa Chart after his Gill Green and Kangaroo songs.

In an interview he said;

“Today I’m definitely sure that if you want top musicians in Ghana, TiC will certainly be part of that list after 2 decades and over in the game.

However, my prayer is that those who are claiming to be relevant and consistent today will still be around and releasing hit songs after 20 years in the music industry just like me.”

Reacting on Nigerian musician Wizkid’s comment he said; ‘ “Wizkid admitting that I was an inspiration to him gives credence to the fact that my works have gone very far. But some people also say this because they don’t have any direct competition with you‘

Wizkid is reported to have said he drew inspiration from Tic Tac when he was venturing into music.

According to him, Tic Tac was a big brand in Nigeria in those days when he was starting music.
