Current Black Stars captain Andre Dede Ayew has reacted with sorrow to the passing of his former teammate, Manuel Agogo.
Junior Agogo, as the former striker was known, died earlier today, at the very young age of just 40 years old.

Agogo had suffered a debilitating stroke in recent years but seemed to have survived and was doing well. His death thus came out of the blue.
Dede, like most Ghanaians, is shellshocked by the news.
He took to IG to react, writing; “One of the worst days in life. RIP big bro Junior Agogo. Words indeed fail me,”

The two played together for the Black Stars on several occassions, most notably at the Cup of African Nations (CAN) 2008 in Ghana – when they both rose to the limelight as part of the ultimately unsuccessful ‘host and win’ team.
RIP Agogo.
