A dark part of world history, these slaves were treated worse than animals.
As part of the year of return, Africans out there who are descendants of the slaves are being encouraged to come down here and reconnect with their roots.

American comedian and tv show host Steve Harvey and his family have arrived in the country and visited the Cape Coast Castle today.
Harvey visibly lost it on seeing the atrocities of the past, completely moved to tears.
