It is not hard to tell when someone has outlived their shine and time. Veteran Ghanaian musician, Rex Owusu Marfo aka Rex Omar obviously is one of the greatest things to happen to Ghanaian Music but as it stands, that is the best he could be for the music industry.
Rex has been struggling with a comeback, claiming he was going to release a highlife song every once a month and by far, what he has done is not something many are enthused about.
According to him, he has no intention in making a hit song because he ought not to prove himself to Ghanaians since he has done that already.
“I’m no more interested in getting hit songs. I’ve grown and passed that stage. I now want a song that will grow beyond me, but if you are a young artist, then you have to get a hit song in order to make your name in this industry and also make some good money.”

“I have nothing to prove to Ghanaians. I have done it all and Ghanaians themselves can testify and that’s why I still get shows to play. All I’m interested in now is to sustain my legacy, that’s all, ” he told Andy Dosty.
