UK Police Officer Khafi Kareem In Trouble After ‘Running Away’ to BB Naija Although She Was Denied Permission And Sleeping With Another Housemate On Live TV

Anyone who has been following the 2019 edition of Big Brother Naija would know of Khafi, the housemate who has perhaps grabbed the most headlines due to her relationship with another housemate known as Gedoni.

Khafi is back in the news but this time not because of having s*x on tv, but for something far more serious.

UK’s the Sun Newspaper reports that Khafi is an officer of the Metropolitan Police who ‘run away’ from her job to come to Nigeria to star on the show.

According to the newspaper, she was on unpaid leave and asked permission to appear on the Nigerian reality show. However, after her bosses denied her permission, Khafi decided to come and star on the show anyway.

She appears to have made her situation worse by being captured on camera at least 3 times apparently having s*x with her boyfriend in the house, Gedoni.

The Sun claims the Directorate of Professional Standards of the Metropolitan Police have opened an investigation into her conduct and colleagues are reportedly appalled.

One colleague is reported to have said: “She’s a serving British police officer — it’s outrageous. She asked permission to go on the show but, when her request was refused, she went anyway.

“Her out-of-office email reply blatantly says that she is away from work, yet no one does anything. Other officers working with her are furious that she can just disobey orders then swan off to Africa and tarnish the reputation of the force,”

According to the Sun, Khafi has worked as an actress, shop assistant and translator before joining the Metropolitan Police Force.

The Met has responded to the story, with a rep reportedly saying: “The Met is aware that the officer has since appeared on the show without authority. The Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed and will be carrying out an investigation into the circumstances.

“The Met does not support the officer’s appearance nor does she represent the Met whilst appearing on the show,”

The spokesperson added: “All officers have a duty to behave with professionalism and in a manner that does not bring the Met into disrepute whether on or off duty.

“Those who do not behave professionally risk breaching police standards of professional behaviour, and may be dealt with by way of misconduct proceedings.”

Meanwhile, Khafi’s team has responded to the Sun report and threatened legal action.
