Former Black Stars goalkeeper and current goalkeeper’s trainer, Richard ‘Olele’ Kingson, has been arrested by police in East Legon for engaging in reckless driving.
According to a report by Citinewsroom, Olele was part of 21 drivers arrested as part of a campaign to weed out indisciplined drivers in the area.
The guilty drivers were arrested for neglecting road mapping and using the wrong directions whilst driving. 18 of them were arraigned before court, but it’s not clear if Olele was one of those.
Also arrested was the driver of a V8 belonging to an unidentified Commissioner.
Speaking on the arrests, ASP Simon Tenku of the Police Public Affairs Directorate said: “Today we didn’t get a lot of people driving on the shoulder, most of the drivers were just neglecting the road mapping and using the wrong direction.”
The impounded cars were sent to the East Legon Police station.
