‘Snub Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale And Their So-called Dancehall And Start Hyping Highlife, It’s What Makes Ghanaians Proud’ — Says ‘Ailing’ Singer Bisa Kdei

High-life artiste, Bisa Kdei is not happy with the way Ghanaians have chosen Reggae/Dancehall and Hip-hop over our own Highlife music.

According to him, we have to start hyping Highlife music and put aside Dancehall and other genres which has nothing to do with the Ghanaian culture.

“From my perspective, Highlife has taken me to a lot of places and it will surprise you. I have always stood by it that we must stop saying Highlife is dying.

“Highlife is not faring well and all that. Highlife is what belongs to us, hence if we have to sell something we have to sell Ghanaian music instead of saying Dancehall is taking over and those kinds of words”, he said in an interview on a Kumasi-based Sika FM.

He neither mentioned Stonebwoy nor Shatta Wale’s name but we all know that these are the two main artistes who are doing Dancehall in Ghana so telling us to forget about Dancehall is the same as telling us to snub them.
