Super Eagles of Nigeria‘s head coach, Gernot Rohr has broken his silence after his team suffered a 2-1 defeat to the Algerians in Semi-Finals rounds of the ongoing AFCON 2019 in Egypt.
According to the 66-year-old German Manager, at the last minutes, his boys underrated the Algerians thinking that they were tired.
“It was a big fight until the last minute, it was a wonderful match, I think my players wanted it to go to extra time thinking Algerians were more tired,”
“We scored an own goal, unlucky, but we have come back every time in this tournament and this time we came back on a penalty. But a wonderful free kick from a football genius made the difference,” Rohr said in an interview.
