Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, who I’m no fan of, is currently being roasted without mercy by his countrymen for making the mistake of saying the man is the master of a woman in a relationship.
Chris’ comments were part of a sermon he gave which recently resurfaced online.
The Nigerian preacher, citing the Bible, said women were created to serve men. According to him, God only created man initially but added women as an afterthought, thus the hierarchy of importance was set by God himself.
His comments have angered a horde of feminists who are hitting him with all sorts of names but if they have any problem I don’t see why they shouldn’t direct it at the bible instead. He’s literally quoting what the word of God says but the same people who call the Bible the unvarnished word of God are pissed off with Chris for quoting it.
This ‘controversy’ tells you all you need to know about the gross hypocrisy of religious people. Either the bible is right or it’s not, but for them the Bible is right depending on whether they like what it’s saying at that moment or not. The technical term for that is ‘cherrypicking’.
Nigerian singer Simi is one of those slamming Chris over his comments. According to her he’s ‘weaponizing’ the bible but I’ll say if she has any issues she should take it up with God.
Check out the video and Simi’s response to it below…
