Ghana Played Well, A Draw with 10 Men Is A Reasonable Result – Clueless Kwesi Appiah Speaks

Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah has spoken out after the Black Stars disappointing 2-2 draw against Benin, describing the result as a ‘good one.’

The senior national team opened their Afcon campaign Tuesday night with a 2-2 draw against Benin in Ismailia, a result which has left many Ghanaians disappointed.

However, speaking on the game, coach Kwesi Appiah said the red card conditioned the result and in that vein, he sees the 2-2 as a reasonable final score.

“It was a good game, we didn’t concentrate in the first half,” Appiah said in his post-match presser.

“In the second half, it was hard to play with 10 players, a draw is reasonable.

“I didn’t lose hope in my team…wait for us in the next game.” he added.
