Watch Burna Boy’s Mum’s Powerful Acceptance Speech When She Took The BET Award For Her Son

Nigerian icon, Burna Boy, has made them proud as he’s been adjudged the Best International Act during the 2019 BET Awards.

The award event took place last night, although Burna Boy was present with his girlfriend, and mother, his mother took the award on his behalf.

Despite, his mother didn’t let him down; she delivered a powerful acceptance speech to the African celebrants gathered at the auditorium.

“He must be the most restless person I ever met because he was here right now,” 

“Thank you very much BET. Thank you Africa. Because that’s the constituency for which we got noticed in the first place.”

Apparently, this is not the first time, Burna Boy has let his mother receive his award. During Ghana Music Award, Burna Boy’s mother again took his award.

However, the artist has explained in a tweet that he went out to take a drink just before his name was mentioned for the award.
