In less than two years, North Hills International School has nurtured and prepared students for its first Cambridge Checkpoint Examination and the students have chalked up excellent results.
The school which was established in September 2017 runs the globally relevant Cambridge curriculum alongside the Ghana Education Service (GES) curriculum. And in April, 2019, it first batch of students sat for the Cambridge assessment.
All the students who sat the examination in English, Science and Maths passed—with outstanding results.
With the advent of global education where students have become global learners, travelling to the UK, United States of America, Australia, Canada, Germany and others from their home countries for higher education, the Cambridge qualifications have become astronomically relevant, often giving students admission to the world’s best universities.
Uniquely, the Cambridge assessment is designed “to be fair, valid, reliable and practicable.” The assessment focuses on what is of value: “deep subject knowledge, conceptual understanding, and higher level thinking skills—and the flexible assessment structure maximises time for teaching and learning”.
Over a million students in over 10,000 Cambridge schools in 160 countries benefit from qualifications internationally recognised by universities and employers—and North Hills International School is one of the few accredited Cambridge schools in Ghana.
North Hills International School which was recently honoured at the Africa International Award of Merit by the West Africa International Press Ltd in recognition of its work in bringing the world into the classroom is situated at North Legon in Accra.
The ultra-modern school provides an ambience conducive to promote a recognised system of education in Ghana and beyond. The school has highly motivated teaching and support staff, and can boast of state-of-the art facilities such as standard science laboratory, well-stocked library, air-conditioned classrooms, swimming pool, basketball court, art room among others.
North Hills International School is currently admitting students for the next academic year commencing September 2019. Interested parents and guardians should CALL 0302508228/0243310286/0200400505.
