John Dumelo has also asked the government to legalize marijuana so the country can make some cash from it.

According to the actor in a recent Twitter post, even if the citizens will not be allowed to smoke the weed, there’s the need for Ghana as a country to go into marijuana farming so there will be more revenue for the country.

“A lot of countries and even religious institutions are cashing in on the Marijuana trade. Here’s my take. The Ghana government can look into setting up the farm. The marijuana will be solely for export, no local consumption.”, his earlier tweet reads.

“That way Ghana can cash in on the billions of dollars. We need revenue for infrastructure, paying salaries, etc. We have all it takes to generate that. Let’s stop talking and start trading.”

John Dumelo is not the only Ghanaian celebrity who has asked the government to take this step. A lot of them, such Samini and others but as to whether Nana Addo and his NPP led government will put it in action, that’s up to them to decide.
