The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Consumer Protection Agency, Kofi Kapito presumably has had it up to his neck with Ghanaian musicians and the many times they boast of their so-called acquired wealth.
Kapito says at the back of all the noise and the social media display, many of them are not as rich as it appears to be because we live in a country where mediocrity is cherished.

“Here in Ghana, mediocrity sells. Because I asked people how much money do these Ghanaian artistes have yet they go around Accra, boasting that they’re rich when they are given some small money and a used car.
“I don’t think these Ghanaian musicians can even boast of a bank account of $200,000.
“Music is not all about singing but it entails a lot. In Ghana, our musicians are good when it comes to recording good music but what comes after you’re done with the records is what matters and they lack that.” Kapito stated on Starr Morning Zoo
