About three years ago, Sarkodie and his colleague rapper, M.anifest were these two artistes who were heating our entertainment industry with their kinds of beef.
It was M.anifest who first threw a killer diss track titled ‘God MC’ at Sarkodie before Sarkodie also clapped back at him with ‘Kanta’.
Whatever brought their battle, we knew nothing about but Sarkodie has revealed in an interview why he had to clap back at M.anifest.
According to Sarkodie, “The M.anifest beef, if not been for pressure from the fans, I can bet you, I wouldn’t have replied that beef. My fans pressured me that I should reply and I had no choice than to do it for them. On a normal day, i would have ignored him”
“I don’t reply to any diss song if I won’t gain or it won’t be a win-win situation for us. Anytime I hear something like that, I ask myself, if I feel it, would I gain? or I should do it just for the talks or I should engage in the beef thing so as to help the other musicians to also gain some relevance? he told George Quaye in an interview.
