The brawl between two dancehall stars Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale continues to dominate headlines, over a week after the incident occurred at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Latest to comment on it is former Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Development Company, Akua Blakofe.
Blakofe, a former ‘borga’ who always has strong opinions on issues occurring in the country, has revealed her heart was broken when she saw what happened at the VGMAs.
Speaking with Class Fm, she said Shatta Wale was wrong to rush the stage but Stonebwoy worsened issues by pulling out a gun.
According to Blakofe, he should not have reacted at all and instead should have left his manager, Blakk Cedi, to deal with the recalcitrant Shatta Wale.
“Seeing these two huge stars behave like that on stage, I cried like a baby,” she said.
“I love Stonebwoy, I love Shatta so much, I like the two of them. Shatta had no right at all going up that moment, it was Stonebwoy’s day. If you want to congratulate him, you wait and do it afterwards, so, Shatta made a mistake going on stage.
“But Stonebwoy pulling a gun was the worst thing that could have happened that night. Let Blakk Cedi slap Shatta, let the boys beat him but to pull out a gun on stage? That broke my heart.” she added.
