President of the Musician Union of Ghana, Bice Osei Kuffour, aka Obour, has stated that the absence of Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale in VGMAs will have no effect on the Ghana music industry, because the industry is bigger than the two artistes.
Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale were banned from Vodafone Ghana Music Awards on Thursday, 23rd May 2019 after the two indulged in a scuffle at the recent VGMA which marred the entire event.
Speaking with Daily Graphic, Obour noted the ban on Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale will have no marginal effect on the music industry.

According to him, the two artistes are just a part of the whole industry and doesn’t make the whole industry, after all Samini, M.anaifest, and Simini are still involved.
He said; “The music industry can do without Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy because they are not the only musicians in Ghana. There have been musicians before these two artistes who achieved more than them.
“Shatta Wale was banned for three years from the VGMA but the awards still went on and his ban did not affect the music industry in any way. The fact is, the music industry is bigger than just these two individuals.
“Sarkodie, M.anifest, Samini and a good number of musicians are doing great and without them, the music industry will still do well,” he stressed.
