JUST IN: Charterhouse Bans Shatta Wale And Stonebwoy; Strips Off Their Awards

Just after Shatta Wale announced his permanent break from the Ghana Music Awards, the board of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and Charterhouse, the organisers of the awards upon broader consultation have banned Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy from participating in the Ghana Music Awards indefinitely.

Their decision comes on the back of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s commotion that nearly caused a stampede which could have resulted in the death of thousands of music lovers during the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards on Saturday, May 18, 2019.

Both Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have been “banned indefinitely from participating in the nominations, selections and performances at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards scheme.

This decision was taken and announced to the general public today, May 23, 2019, during a press conference organised by Charterhouse.

Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have also been stripped off all their VGMA Awards and they are to return all VGMA award plaques won on the night to Charterhouse.
