Tema-based rapper Kwesi Arthur has revealed in an interview with Bola Ray on Starr Chat on Starr FM that, he gained admission to the Ghana Institute of Journalism after he completed Tema Senior High School but could not pursue that because his parents had no money for the fees.

Kwesi says that led him to take menial jobs just to make ends meet. At a point, he said he considered taking a security man offer at Ashaiman but for whatever reasons, he did not and he is super glad he stuck to his passion to do music.

“I’m glad I stuck to this (music) through all the trials and the stuff people were telling me. People offered me jobs to be a security guard and stuff, I almost went for the job. They even called me once to come for my uniform.”
