Despite Group And Two Of Okay FM Workers Apologize To Anas For Defamation — READ

About a month ago, Ghana’s ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas slapped Despite Media Group and two of Okay FM workers, Kwame Nkrumah Tikese and Kwame Andoh with a lawsuit for defaming him on their show.

According to Anas, these two presenters had described him as “lawlessness”, an “evil and odious person who is a nation wrecker” on their Ade AKye Abia Show aired on March 7th 2019.

They also accused of him of “extorting money from the President of Ghana, extorting  GHc500,000 from an identifiable person,  extorting money from persons through threats of libel and slander, extorting money from persons through blackmail as well as engaging in bribery and corruption.”

However, the undercover journalist, Anas has retracted his lawsuit after an apology  was sent to him as reported by Citi Newsroom.

According to the notice of terms,  portions of the apology in the state newspaper must capture the following: “The said allegations have been found to be false and the same should not have been made on our FM Station.  In this regard, the comments relating to this incorrect statement is most regrettable. The Management of the Okay FM, Kwame Nkrumah alias Kwame Nkrumah Tikese and Kwame Amoh do hereby apologize and unconditionally and unreservedly retract the allegations and comments made against Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his associates during the discussions on the Morning Show.”

“Finally, OK FM undertakes not to further publish or reproduce the said allegations and comments on 7 March 2019 on any of its platforms.”
