British High Commissioner Ran for His Life when Stonebwoy-Shatta Foolishness Started — Kwame Sefa Kayi Reveals

Master of Ceremonies on the night of the 20th VGMA Awards, Kwame Sefa Kayi, has revealed how the Stonebwoy-Shatta Wale fracas went down and the repercussions it had on the rest of the awards show.

Sefa Kayi, who has revealed he ‘feared for his life’ based on what was happening right in front of him, said the confusion led to some of the big dignitaries at the event to bolt in fear for their own lives when it started.

Sefa Kayi was on Adom Fm this morning to talk about what went down and he revealed that the British High Commissioner to Ghana, Iain Walker, fled from the auditorium when he realized that the situation had become unsafe.

Sefa Kayi said he the foreign diplomat was one of the first to leave when the commotion started.

“Oh yes, he was among those who first left the venue when the whole confusion started,” Sefa Kayi said.

“He fled sharp. When the incident happened, the police cordoned off the area and I saw the British High Commissioner sneak out.” the celebrated broadcaster revealed.

The commotion between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale occurred when Shatta Wale and his goons tried to rush the stage whilst Stonebwoy was receiving his award for ‘Reggae/Dancehall’ Artist of the Year.

The incident has dominated discussions since it happened and the two have been arrested for their role in the violence.
