A very eventful 20th Anniversary VGMA edition came off Saturday night/Sunday dawn at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The event, which was marred by violence from Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, managed to continue following their fracas but ended in a truncated fashion as for the first time in the show’s history, no Artist of the Year was crowned on the night.
Organizers decided not to award the big honour of the night but shift it to a later date due to the still simmering BHIM-SM tensions.
The much-hyped artist of the decade award went to Sarkodie.
