Former WWE superstar Ashley Massaro has died at aged 39, according to a BBC news report.
Ashley passed away in Long Island, New York, after being carted from her home to a hospital due to an ailment.
The root cause of her death is currently not known, the BBC reveals.
Massaro worked for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) between 2005 and 2008, performing under the ring name ‘Ashley.’ WWE expressed their sadness at her passing in a message that also offered her family their condolences.
Massaro was part of the WWE when Ghanaian born star Kofi Sarkodie Mensah, known professionally as Kofi Kingston, signed for the brand and started his long journey which culminated with becoming WWE Champion this year.
The former model and reality star leaves behind an 18-year-old daughter. May she rest in peace.
