A 27 years old Nigerian lady identified as Nneka Donatus has been arrested by the Nigerian Police for allegedly selling her baby to some couple.
According to the reports, Donatus was arrested including two other females, a civil servant at the Ministry of Women Affairs, 40-year-old, Ujunwa Udecheku and a 37-year-old, Nneoma Onwusereaka who connived with Donatus in selling the child.
The mother of the baby girl, Donatus made a confession that she sold the baby just a day after putting to bed for just an amount of 600,000 Nigerian Naira which is equivalent to 8,608.33Ghanaian Cedi with reasons being that she was not ready to mother another child.
She continued “I sold my baby girl for N600,000 (GHC 8600) and used N15,000 (GHC 215) from the money to buy a phone, wrapper and slippers and transported myself back home.
“I asked Nneoma Onwusereaka and her husband, who had the balance to use it to start a business for me. I have five children already and I am separated from my former husband,” she revealed.
