Another day, another advocate for marijuana legalization in Ghana has come out to make their case.

Reggae/Dancehall star Ras Kuuku has called for the ‘international herb’ to be legalized, arguing that it is a more expensive product than cocoa and can make Ghana much more money.

Kuuku, in a chat with SVTV Africa, said legalizing weed would make Ghana more money than even our most valuable export product, cocoa.

“Ghana, we are wasting time you know, compare the price of cocoa to marijuana and you’ll know that cocoa is a small boy nowhere close to marijuana,” he said.

“Uganda and other countries are exporting marijuana to Canada, US and other places making millions of dollars. Marijuana is more beneficial than cocoa, we should stop comparing the two. Marijuana is 4,000 times [more] expensive than cocoa.” he added.

Ras Kuuku joins the growing list of Ghanaians calling for the legalization of the drug, although it doesn’t look like it would happen anytime in the foreseeable future.
