Female songstress, Jane Awindor, better known by her stage name, Efya is among the musicians who are fighting for Artiste of the Decade award in this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
According to the award-winning female singer, Efya, she strongly believes she has worked harder enough to be crown with such a prestigious award.
“Everybody that I have seen posting it thinks I deserve to be there. I think I deserve to be as well. I’ve definitely been relevant over a decade.”
“I have been doing ‘Girl Talk’ for four years, it is the only show in Ghana that brings all the women together and I have sold out every show, relevance. I have collaborated with at least more than 10 international African artistes and made hits, relevance”. “I created a whole new genre for the female artistes to follow, I inspired a whole generation, relevance,” she told MzGee of JoyNews.
Efya is in competition with VIP, Ohemaa Mercy, Shatta Wale, Ruff and Smooth, Joe Mettle, Sarkodie, 4×4, Samini and the Bhimnation boss, Stonebwoy.
