There was a story a week or so ago on one of the many z-list blogs making claim to the fact that Ms Guiseppina Baafi, the 2013 winner of the Miss Ghana pageant, was the mother to a baby fathered by Atletico Madrid and Black Stars midfielder Thomas Teye Partey.
The story sprung up after Partey was spotted holding in hand a baby, leading to some desperate for traffic blogs to fabricate the claim against Giuseppina.
The story, which has mysteriously disappeared from the website in question, made other unverified claims which we decided to investigate to ascertain the veracity of those claims.
In a chat with Ms Baafi, the former beauty queen who was at the forefront of exposing the rot in the Miss Ghana pageant completely denied the rumours floating around about her.
Ms Baafi revealed that she has actually been busy with both her job and also running her foundation which is geared towards supporting the less privileged in society thus she could not have mothered a baby as was being alleged. She said Ghanaians should completely disregard the story as it had no iota of truth to it.
Giuseppina has been running the Pina Baafi Foundation since 2013 when she won the Miss Ghana pageant and over the years the foundation has contributed to better the lives of countless underprivileged Ghanaians.
Aside Guiseppina’s words, the fact that the story disappeared from the blog which originated it should tell you all you need to know. As Donald Trump would say, the claim that Partey and Giuseppina had welcomed a child together is complete and utter FAKE NEWS!
