Bishop Bernard Nyarko
Kumawood actor Bishop Bernard Nyarko, who has decided to shun acting to concentrate on his ministry, has angrily lashed out at the prophets of doom who are now springing up in Ghana in extremely large numbers.
These days you can hardly go a day without some self-acclaimed prophet, either in their church or on social media, pronouncing death on one celebrity or another.
The prophets claim to get their inspiration from God, but Bishop Nyarko, also an acclaimed ‘prophet’, said most of them are fake and simply doing so to gather attention to themselves and their churches.
“They tend to put fear in many individuals especially the celebrities and this is because such individuals have huge following which may eventually convert into high numbers for their churches,” he said.
Nyarko proposed that such prophets should see celebrities in person if they really have a prophecy instead of making it public to simply to stir fear and panic.
“Why don’t you approach individuals you see prophecies about than publicise it on social media? Just so it materializes so you claim fame in the sight of man? They are simply injecting and infusing fear into people’s lives” he said.
Nyarko added that most of those prophets would be the ones to die this year instead of the celebrities they claim to have seen in their visions.
