Bukom Banku
Disappointed Ghanaian Super heavyweight boxer cum comedian, Braimah Isaac Kamoko, known popularly in the ring as Bukom Banku has asked the government to start promoting boxing because boxing is the only game that brings honour to Ghana.
According to him, Ghanaian football has brought nothing better, not even a single recognised trophy into this land and yet the government keeps pumping amount of cash into it.
“Without any form of disrespect to football, boxing has brought more honours to Ghana, than football. We have over the years won ten world titles, whilst football is yet to give us any significant trophy.”

He also outlined some of the benefits that boxing as a game can bring to Ghana. “Boxing can also attract tourists to the country and create employment opportunities for youth, especially those on the streets,” he said.
