Guy who Won Millions of Cedis in Bets that Safaribet Refused to Pay has Sued the Company

Theophilus Morgan, the Safaribet customer who won over Ghc 57m in betting but has yet to receive his winnings, has finally taken the company on in court.

Morgan has sued Safaribet and the Ghana Gaming Commission, seeking his full winnings to be paid to him, plus interest.

Morgan won an incredible Ghc 57m in November 2018 on a bet. He staked 220 different bets of Ghc 1 each, each netting him a cool Ghc 286,000.

However, Safaribet refused to pay him his entire Ghc 57m winnings, instead, they offered to only pay him one of his betting slips on the condition that he signs a waiver forfeiting the other 219 slips.

Morgan sensibly refused to do so, making Safaribet to also refuse to pay him. He has since petitioned the Gaming Commission to force Safaribet to pay him but they have failed to make any progress.

Thus the bettor has been forced to seek legal action. He has retained the services of Gaisie Zwennes Hughes & Co, suing Safaribet in court to retrieve the cash owed him.

The case commences on April 16th 2019.
