The fans of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are currently jabbing themselves on social media after the 2019 3Music Awards which came off Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the Fantasy Dome.
Shatta Wale on the night bagged 8 awards out of 11 nominations including the biggest accolade “Artiste of the Year” whilst his arch-rival, Stonebwoy won just 3 awards out of 8 nominations.
Some music lovers who were expecting Stonebwoy or their favourite artists to win in various categories but lost has described the 3Music Awards as fake.
Now, this comment by the CEO of 3Music Awards, Sadiq Abdulai Abu sighted under a Facebook post will definitely spark controversies and somehow back the assertion of many music lovers that the award scheme is fake!
Sadiq in his comment mistakenly said that Stonebwoy won “Digital Act of the Year” award but that isn’t the case, it’s rather Shatta Wale who won that award on the night.

Sadiq was replying to one Nii Offei Dodoo after he said the results of the 3Music Awards didn’t make sense.
Stonebwoy on the night won “Album of the year”, “Afrobeats song of the Year” and “Most Streamed Artiste on Boomplay”.
Shatta Wale on the other hand grabbed;
Sadiq’s comment may be a mistake but since it’s coming from the CEO himself, music lovers will definitely dig deep into it and draw their own conclusions ─whether positive or negative.
