TWEET: Shatta Wale Is Hypocritically Blasting Ghanaian Video Directors For Ignoring Our Culture, We Are Asking Is Dancehall Also A Ghanaian Type Of Music?

Published by

‘Ama Ghana’ as a nation has sold her culture, something that makes Ghanaian citizens a peculiar people and all the things that nicely distinguish our nation from others. There is a perception that everything Ghanaian is not good which is very bad.

Beginning from the language we speak, even children in our schools are being lashed when they speak their mother’s language, the food we eat, most of them are foreign types, without spending much time on this, just consider how we are happily embracing dancehall music forgetting our traditional highlife songs and others.

Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale is on social media hypocritically blasting Ghanaian video directors on the reason being that they are copying the styles of video directors from our neighbouring countries.

He wrote on his twitter page: “Ghana music video directors should stop copying naija videos and be creative cuz Nigerians are far gone, so let’s try and portray our culture small ..it’s about being creative ..we are too lazy in creating ..Let’s be serious aaahhh ba !!!.”

I personally don’t know the type of culture that the Shatta Movement boss, Shatta Wale born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr is talking about here. Someone who is seriously introducing a Jamaican type of Music they call Dancehall in Ghana is here blasting others on what they are doing.

Well, we will advise him to start doing highlife or any of our local types of music before he starts to criticize what others are doing.
