Event organizing company, Charterhouse, the organizers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, released their nomination list over the weekend at the Labadi Beach Hotel.
Before the grand launch at the Labadi Beach Hotel, most of the nominations were released via social media and selected radio and TV stations.
After the nomination list became public, many people have expressed varied opinions as to who they believe deserved a particular nomination or the other.

Ghanaian television personality, Nana Aba Anamoah has also waded into the controversies. She is of the opinion that Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale’s hit song ‘My Level’ deserves a place in the VGMA Gospel Song Of The Year category.
Dear VGMA, Shatta Movement is very pleased with all the nominations but ‘I know my level’ should have been nominated for Gospel song of the year ooo.
