It seems the era of groups in Ghanaian music has reached an end because none of the great groups we’ve seen throughout the years are capable of staying together for long.
Every time they are in the news, it surrounds whether the group has broken up or coming back together, whether we’re talking about Praye, Wutah or 4X4.
Wutah were back in the headlines earlier this week after news went viral that the group had split up once again following their recent reunion.
Group member Kobby Wutah was reported to have confirmed that the group had broken up, but in a more recent interview has denied it completely.
According to him, he only said they have some issues they are discussing with their management and never said they are breaking up. He also admitted they want to release solo projects but that does not mean they are breaking up.
“I only said, me, my brother, Afriyie, and our record label NKZ, have sensitive issues we are dealing with,” he said on Hitz Fm.
“Like other seriously talented musicians, you can talk of Morgan Heritage from Jamaica or own R2Bees from Ghana, my endeavor to release a single is very similar to the examples listed and must not be taken as a move to break away from the group,” he added.
