The 62nd anniversary of Ghana’s Independence Day which was celebrated on Wednesday, 6th March doesn’t seem to have inspired much confidence among Ghanaians. Almost every reaction to the celebration that we’ve seen has been a negative one.
German-based Ghanaian ‘borga’, Archipalago, has added his voice to the constant critiques of the Independence Day celebration, describing it as a useless celebration when Ghana is in such a terrible state.
Archipalago even goes one step further than other critics and suggests that Ghana should be handed over to white people to run.

According to him, before Ghana would be a successful nation then we need a white President and white members of Parliament. He bemoaned Kwame Nkrumah’s famous saying that ‘the Black man is capable of managing his own affairs’ and said the exact opposite is the actual truth.
