The lifelong dream of American politician Hillary Rodham Clinton to become the President of her nation looks like it would remain unfulfilled.
That’s because the former first lady has finally announced whether she plans to run once again in 2020, and the answer is not going to please her fans.
The U.S Secretary of State under the Presidency of Barack Obama has announced that she is not going to run for her party’s nomination in 2020, ruling her out of the 2020 Presidential elections.
Many Democrats, including Hillary’s 2016 primary opponent Bernie Sanders, have announced their plans to run for the Democratic Party nomination. Hillary had hitherto refused to confirm or deny whether she plans to run but has now made it crystal clear she would not be competing.
“I’m not running, but I’m going to keep on working and speaking and standing up for what I believe,” Mrs Clinton told New York’s News 12 TV channel, according to the BBC.
Hillary lost the 2016 election to Donald Trump, despite Africa’s number one prophet T.B Joshua telling us she would win. She won the popular vote but was trounced in the electoral college by Trump, who won most of the swing states needed to win the Presidency.
With Hillary out of the picture, the Democratic Primary would be hard fought amongs numerous candidates, with the frontrunners including former Vice President Joe Biden (who’s yet to announce but is expected to run anyway), 2016 hopeful Bernie Sanders, an Independent senator from Vermont; and Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren, Democratic senators from California and Massachusetts respectively.
