Father of the late Dancehall diva, Priscella Opoku Kwarteng was then known as Ebony Reigns‘ father Mr Nana Opoku Kwarteng has officially accepted the nickname, Starboy Kwarteng given to him by Ghanaians.
The nickname was given to him a few days after Ebony died when he, Mr Kwarteng started his media tour trying to expose his daughter’s former record label manager, Bullet.
However, in an interview Showbiz, Mr Opoku Kwarteng has stated that since the media has accepted the name and has been calling him with it, there is nothing he can do to stop it.
Mr Kwarteng added that there is nobody in this world who will dislike being called a star so, obviously, he accepts the name Starboy Kwarteng.
“Oh I am ok with the name; I think it is something I like. The word star alone is something anyone would want to associate him or herself with so it is fine by me.
“Again, you cannot fight the media or anyone; if they want to call you by a name, they will no matter what you do. In this life, the more you tell people you do not want something, the more they do it so it is fine with me, I accept it,” he said.
