Ever since the Tamale-based uprising musician, Fancy Gadam snatched the popular song of the Year Award from the “One Corner” hitmaker, Patapaa with his single hit song “Total Cheat” featured by Sarkodie, people have been complaining bitterly.
Most Ghanaians kept saying Fancy Gadam had that opportunity over his other colleagues just because his song was featured by Ghana’s best rapper, Sarkodie.
Radio Presenter, Prince Tsegah, popularly known as De Don has also reacted similarly about the “Total Cheat” hitmaker, Fancy Gadam’s fate in the Ghanaian music industry.
According to him, Fancy Gadam wouldn’t have become popular had it not been Sarkodie that he featured on his single song, “Total Cheat”.
“If not Sarkodie, Fancy Gadam wouldn’t be a household name. It’s very difficult for such artistes to come out. Flowking Stone has a large degree of truth in his statement. It’s not easy to breakthrough when you are not living in Accra.”
De Don said this on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz to support a statement made by Flowking Stone that it’s difficult for artistes who are living outside Accra to become popular than those living in Accra.
