Last year award-winning investigative journalist and the founder of Tiger Eye PI investigative company, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, shook the foundations of Ghana most specifically the Ghana Football Association.
His investigative piece titled ‘Number 12‘ looked into widespread corruption that has engulfed African football over the years but people have always disputed.
The investigative piece caught a lot of people in African Football indulging in bribery and corruption which the world football governing body FIFA frowns seriously upon. Kwesi Nyantakyi the then Ghana Football Association President who also doubled as the Vice President of CAF and also sat on the FIFA executive committee was the biggest fish caught in the investigative piece. He has since been banned for life from any football-related activities.
Seven months after the investigative piece, Kwesi Nyantakyi has come out to talk about the issue that has dented his image and integrity. He says that people at the GFA who wanted his downfall or out of the GFA Presidency paid Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team 400,000 Dollars to set him up and be disgraced. He made all these revelations on NET2 Television.
