The scourge of ‘doom prophecies’ has now become a part of the Ghanaian zeitgeist and at the end of every year, we can confidently expect that most pastors in the country would declare death on many famous figures.
These death prophecies rarely come true but the pastors mention so many names that inevitably, at least one person from the list dies and they claim that shows they really received a message from God.
Some celebrities get scared by these pastors prophesying death for them but others can never be bothered. Ironically, Shatta Wale who’s always trying to claim toughness is scared of death prophecies yet quiet, unassuming KiDi is the one taking on the pastors.
Reacting to some prophecies pastors have released about himself and Lynx Entertainment colleague Kuami Eugene this year, KiDi said the ‘doom’ prophets should leave them (celebrities) alone and concentrate on prophesying to their church members.
“The prophets have come to like entertainment paa oo, so are they done with the people in their churches?” he wondered during an interview on Radio Central.
“Let him finish prophesying on his members before.” KiDi emphatically stated.
