Wendy Shay cannot seem to escape comparisons with Ebony no matter what she does and the ‘Uber Driver’ singer seems to have had enough.
In a recent interview with the host of Starr Drive, Joseph Kumi, Wendy said Ghanaians should forget about Ebony who is dead and gone and talk about what she (Wendy) is doing in her own career.
According to the attention addicted Wendy, she doesn’t mind being compared to Ebony since the late singer is a legend but it’s becoming quite tiring having to always hear those comparisons.

“Ebony did a very good thing when she was alive so I definitely don’t see anything wrong with me looking at her footsteps to do mine because she is a legend,” she said.
“It’s fine and it’s okay when people compare me to Ebony, I just wish after some time we will let her name rest.”
Shay added that people might see similarities between Ebony and herself because she’s also a RuffTown star and has Bullet writing her songs just as Ebony. However, she added, she doesn’t see herself as a ‘copycat’ but simply someone following in the footsteps of Nana Hemaa.
