Anokye Supremo might be dead and gone but the issues stemming from his demise are just about to start.
Having passed away in India, his family has revealed that they need a monster amount of money to get his body from India back to Ghana for his funeral.
Father of the late singer, Mr. Kwadwo Barfo, has revealed in an interview that the family are in no position to meet the extraordinary costs their son has incurred in India where he underwent surgery to remove a brain tumour.
According to Mr Barfo, the hospital where Supremo had his surgery and later stayed on in ICU after slipping into a coma is owed an outstanding amount of $21,000.
He also said the mortuary where he is being kept are also owed some money, not to mention the costs involved in flying his corpse from India back to Ghana.
Speaking with Mike Two on Adom Fm, Mr Barfo said the family are in no position to pay these obscene amounts of money, calling on Ghanaians to show their support for his son by helping to foot the bill incurred.
Anokye Supremo, also known as Daddy Lumba Jnr, died tragically last week in India.
