No Label in Ghana Can Give Their Artists the Percentage of Earnings I Gave to Ebony — Bullet Responds to Rumours he’s a ‘Cheat’

RuffTown Records CEO Ricky Nana Agyeman, popularly known as Bullet, recently sat down for a tell all interview with Joy Fm’s Lexis Bill in which he opened up about all the controversial issues Ghanaians want to know about.

He especially tried to clear the air on all the issues surrounding the passing of Ebony and matters arising after her death.

Bullet addressed some of the disturbing rumours that he was banging Ebony (and now Wendy Shay), or that he was abusing her physically and verbally to the extent she wanted to leave.

Bullet also sought to debunk allegations that he cheated Ebony out of the monies she was making in her career by signing an exploitative contract with her.

According to Bullet, Ebony was making 40% of all earnings made by the label and he believes such a deal is the best around.

“…There is no record label that will give you 40%,” Bullet said. “I think she had the biggest one [contract] and was comfortable [under Rufftown records].”

“We were about to make more money and that was when everything went down the drain. I even refunded money for some shows after her death,” he added.
