In 2018 Nigerian superstar singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun aka Wizkid held a show at the iconic 20,000 capacity London 02 Arena, cementing his place as the biggest musician on the African continent.
He filled the 02 Arena to the brim and became the talk of the town all over the United Kingdom because even mainstream UK based artists struggles to chalk such a feat so for an African being able to do that with such ease was a big deal.
Yesterday Wizkid’s Nigerian brother David Adedeji Adeleke aka Davido also proved his worth as one of the biggest musicians on our continent shutting down the same place Wizkid shutdown a year ago with his Davido Live At The 02 Arena Concert.
A lot of music lovers from all across Africa have commended the ‘Assurance’ hitmaker for chalking such a great feat in London, putting African music on the world’s map. We are looking forward to the day a Ghanaian musician will also perform this kind of magic. One day it shall surely happen.
