Ghanaian actor and staunch NDC supporter John Dumelo aka ‘Mr V8’ has called on Ghanaians to stop bashing celebrities simply for supporting a political party because they are also human beings and have freedom of association like everyone else.
Dumelo said he would always defend any celebrity who gets bashed for making a political choice, whether it his himself, his ‘bestie’ Yvonne Nelson or anyone else.
Earlier this week excerpts of an upcoming episode of Yvonne Okoro’s cooking show ‘Dining with Cooks and Braggarts’ hit the web in which John Dumelo and Yvonne Nelson both appeared.

In the excerpt, Yvonne was heard complaining about NPP completely ‘dawging’ her even after she helped organize the ‘dumsor must stop’ campaign during the NDC rule.
John Dumelo also had a lot to say about Ghanaian politics during his appearance and called on Ghanaians to stop bashing celebrities simply for choosing to support a particular political party.
He said he has suffered some abuse due to his support of the NDC which shouldn’t be.
Dumelo was recently in the news for his attempt to run for Parliament in Ayawaso West Wuogon, which did not go particularly well as he had to withdraw before the race even started.
