Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr aka Shatta Wale has today, January 27, 2019, listed the total number of awards he has won ever since he resurfaced in the music industry 6 years ago.
If you will remember Shatta Wale is the same person as Bandana who released his maiden album around 2004. That album contained his smash hit song titled ‘Mokohoo’ and it song topped a lot of Ghanaian musical charts back then.
Shatta Wale went into musical hiatus after the release of his ‘Mokohoo album’ for close to 10 years before he rebranded and came back again in 2013.
His shenanigans and attitude at the 2013 VGMA after he lost the Reggae Dancehall song of the year to Kaaki gave him bad publicity but he took advantage of the opportunity and released a smash hit song ‘Dancehall King’ and that was the beginning of the success story of Shatta Wale.
