Hon Kennedy Agyapong Reportedly Busted by Police CID Following Death of Anas’ Partner

Ghanaians woke up today to disturbing news that an undercover partner of Ghana’s most renowned undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas,  Mr Ahmed Hussein-Suale, had been killed.

Ahmed Hussein-Suale was shot three times by unknown gunmen late Wednesday, leading to his death. His demise has become national news because he is one of the journalists whose identities Kennedy Agyapong exposed during his crusade against Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

As the MP has not only threatened Anas himself but called for others to commit violence against Anas and his team, the Criminal Investigative Department (CID) of the Ghana Police have reportedly invited him in for questioning in the wake of the death.

Honourable Agyapong, MP for Assin Central, is not suspected of the murder but is still wanted for questioning as a ‘person of interest’ in the case.

On Neat Fm this morning, Agyapong said he had nothing to do with the killing and also denied accusations from Ghanaians that he called for violence against Ahmed.

“A friend called to tell me that there is something trending on social media that I engineered the killing of one Ahmed. First of all, the guy has never offended me in anyway,” he said.

“When I premiered the ‘Who watches the watchman’ at Oman FM premises, I was told that I know Ahmed very well because he has been coming to my station for money. So I ordered them to stop him [Ahmed] from coming there and ‘beat the hell out from him’ because he can fix secret cameras around. This is what I said,” the loudmouth MP added.

Investigations into the death is still ongoing.
