A grisly accident occurred earlier today near the 37 Military Hospital which left five people dead.
The accident occurred after a trotro travelling from Aflao to Accra derailed near the 37 Military Hospital and run off the road.
According to reports, the driver of the passenger vehicle was overspeeding when he lost control around the hospital and veered off the road, hitting the numerous trees which line that stretch of road.
Five died in the crash, mynewsgh reports, and many others were injured.

After the crash, there were no emergency vehicles around to carry the survivors to the nearby Military Hospital, and some were left abandoned for a while before a ‘good Samaritan’ reportedly came to carry them in his car to the hospital.
Every single day more and more perish in road accidents in Ghana but there seems to be no holistic solution to the problem in sight.
