For the past 10 years, many musicians have sprung up unto the Ghanaian music industry serving us as entertainment critics and all music lovers with hot, sizzling amazing and mind-blowing music. We don’t know what our lives and the lives of the majority of the people on earth would have been without music so musicians anywhere should mostly be celebrated.

This year the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards will be 20 years and as they did when they organized the tenth edition in 2009, this year alongside the most prestigious Artiste Of The Year award they will also give out an award for that one artist who has done well for the past ten years.

10 years ago the ‘Maestro’ Kojo Antwi won the maiden edition and we are keenly looking forward to that outstanding musician who will win this year’s own which happens to be the 2nd edition.

Since yesterday there has been a raging debate all over Ghanaian social and traditional media as to which Ghanaian musician has been the best for the past 10 years. The debates sometimes become heated to the extent that you might even think people are fighting. That is how much Ghanaians love music and their musicians.
