World’s Richest Man Jeff Bezos Divorces His Wife and You Just Know A LOT of Money Is About to Change Hands

Founder of Amazon and the richest man in the World as at today, Jeff Bezos, has announced he’s divorcing his wife of 25 years, MacKenzie Bezos.

The pair announced in a twitter statement Wednesday that after a quarter century and four children together, it’s now time to part ways.

“After a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, we have decided to divorce and continue our shared lives as friends,” the statement read.

“We feel incredibly lucky to have found each other and deeply grateful for every one of the years we have been married to each other.”

Bezos, 54, founded Amazon 25 years ago, and the company has now eclipsed Microsoft as the most valuable company listed on the stock exchange.

Bezos himself has also passed Microsoft founder Bill Gates to become the richest man in the world, according to the Bloomberg Billionaire’s Index, which tracks the net worth of the world’s richest in real time.

Bezos is currently worth an estimated $137bn, just over $45bn ahead of Gates.

He has reportedly been ‘cheating’ on his wife with a tv host, Lauren Sanchez.

By the time their divorce is finalized, we could be looking at the biggest divorce settlement in human history.
